CPR classes set April 18, 25
Two free community CPR classes will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, April 18 and 25 at the St. Joseph Community Fire Hall. The classes are free and open to the residents of St Joseph, as well as St Joseph and St. Wendel townships. Each class is good for initial CPR or renewal. Limited spots are available. Mattress fundraiser set April 9 at SRR High
Sauk Rapids-Rice High School band and choir will host its second annual mattress fundraiser from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School to raise funds for band equipment, instruments and student fees.
The fundraiser is hosted by fundraising organization, Custom Fundraising Solutions – Twin Cities. Locally owned and operated out of Andover, CFS Twin Cities has helped more than 40 local school programs raise more than $250,000 in Minnesota with the “mattress fundraiser” since 2013.
This one-of-a-kind fundraiser allows parents and community members to support music and athletic programs by purchasing new, name-brand (including Simmons Beautyrest and Restonic) mattresses, with each purchase benefiting the program.
CFS offers delivery, free lay-away and many of the same beds available at stores. Beds also include factory warranties, all at retail sale prices or below. Faculty, staff, and civil servants receive 10 percent off and a $50 off referral coupon is available from any member of the band.

Robotics team wins state, heads to world’s competition
Six Sartell boys will promote dine-in and take-out business for the House of Pizza from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, and 10 percent of all proceeds from dine-in and take-out sales will be donated directly back to their team to cover expenses to attend the World’s Competition held April 20-23 in Louisville, Ken.

Sartell church hosts famed St. Olaf College Choir
Celebration Lutheran Church in Sartell will host the St. Olaf Cantorei from Northfield, which will perform in worship under the direction of James Bobb, for a performance starting at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 3.
The choir was established in the 1960s so St. Olaf College students could participate in the St. Olaf choral tradition. The 100-voice ensemble is a musical organization of instrumentalists and singers known for creative programming, blending the St. Olaf choral tradition to lead worship and provide “a distinctive musical and spiritual experience.”
