Sartell police arrested a juvenile after an act of highly destructive vandalism of the bathroom in Watab Park.
The age of the juvenile has not been released at this time.
Sometime on the weekend of April 27-28, the juvenile allegedly destroyed a sink, a toilet and toilet-paper dispenser in the bathroom, which is located near the splash pad in the park.
The police department posted photos of the destruction, which led to tips from local residents and ultimately to the identity of the alleged culprit.
Authorities said the amount of damage caused will result in felony-level property-damage charges.
The following is a statement on the Sartell Police Department’s website: “We have a beautiful city with many amenities that we do our best to keep safe and accessible, but it takes all of us contributing to do that. Thank you for helping to close this case.”
The department also thanked people for supplying the tips that led to the arrest.
