April 9 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Join us on Saturday, April 9 at 1pm for a special presentation on Native American Boarding Schools in Minnesota!
This presentation and exhibit explore the history of Native American Boarding Schools operated by Benedictines in Minnesota. Beginning in the late 1800s, these schools supported, and at times subverted, federal assimilation policies. Through an examination of archival material, “Our Worlds Intertwined” highlights the resilience of Native nations and the need of truth and reconciliation.
Cost is $7 for nonmembers, $3 for college students, and members are free.
