The Sartell Parks Commission is seeking a new member to serve a three-year term on the five-member commission.
At a very short seven-minute meeting of the July 28 Sartell City Council, two council members (Rusty Deters and Tim Elness) volunteered to be on an ad-hoc committee to interview applicants for the Parks Commission position.
The deadline for submitting applications for that position is Friday, Aug. 8. To apply online, go to: https://sartellmn.rja.revize.com/forms/5595
To qualify for the positions, applicants must be Sartell residents or an official board member of an athletic organization recognized by the City of Sartell; and applicants must also live within the Sartell-St. Stephen School District.
The Parks Commission serves in an advisory capacity to city council and city staff concerning issues of parks and trails, parks’ maintenance and implementation of the city’s Master Parks and Trails Plan, the city’s Capital Improvement Plan and its Comprehensive Plan.
For more information about applications, call the Parks Department at 320-258-7334 or Sartell City Hall at 320-253-2171.
