A Collegeville Township home was damaged and an Avon firefighter injured in a fire on March 27.
The fire was reported at 11:50 a.m. at 13803 Lakeland Road, according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy found smoke coming from multiple areas of the home.
The owner, Bruce Dickau, 74, of St. Joseph arrived and confirmed there were no people or pets inside.
Avon Firefighter Paul Ruegemer, 34, of Avon was injured and he was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The state fire marshal is investigated. The cause and total damage are not known.
St. Joseph and Cold Spring fire departments assisted Avon.
