The ConneX on-demand bus service in Sartell will continue for another year, but with reduced hours and an expanded service area.
The extension through Dec. 31, 2020, will provide Metro Bus staff an opportunity to gather information about the performance of the service.
Service times will change starting Sunday, Feb. 2. Weekday service will be from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday service will be from 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. with no service from 2 – 3 p.m.; and Sunday service will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with no service from 11 a.m.-noon.
“The reduced hours are based on ridership data showing significantly reduced passengers per hour at certain times of the day,” according to a statement from Metro Bus. “The goal of the changes is to provide quality service to as many residents as possible within a constrained budget framework.”
The service area will expand to include the east side of Sartell northwest of Hwy. 15.
