Nov. 26

11:12 a.m. Suspicious person. 11th Street S.  A complaint was made regarding a male going door-to-door and attempting to sell items, but had no product. An officer made contact with the male who stated he was giving out flyers for the product. He did not have a permit and agreed to leave the area until he obtained one.

9:11 p.m. Traffic stop. CR 4. A vehicle was witnessed traveling 49 mph in a posted 35-mph zone. The driver stated he was unaware of his speed. He was issued a citation.

Nov. 27

1:54 a.m. Traffic stop. 3rd Street N. A vehicle was witnessed displaying an expired registration. The officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A passenger gave the officer paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana. He was issued a citation.

8:17 p.m. Juvenile problem. 1st Avenue N. A complaint was made regarding a young boy riding an ATV and blowing a horn. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate anyone.

Nov. 28

12:08 a.m.  Suspicious vehicle. 23rd Street. While on patrol, an officer saw a vehicle parked on a dead-end street. The officer found the driver was trying to locate a friend’s residence and had pulled over to call and get directions.

6:02 p.m. Verbal. 1st Street NE. A report was made regarding a verbal argument between two adult females. Officers arrived and were able to diffuse the situation. No further assistance was needed.

Nov. 29

3:47 p.m. Motorist assist. CR 120. A driver locked her keys in her vehicle. An officer was able to unlock the door for her.

Nov. 30

9:41 a.m. Unwanted person. Troop Drive. A complaint was made regarding unknown people sleeping in a community room. An officer arrived and found they were guests of a resident. They were asked to leave the area.

3:03 p.m.  Suspicious vehicle. 4th Avenue S. A vehicle was located with a broken window and covered in snow. An officer contacted the registered owner who stated he was aware of its condition and he had permission for the vehicle to be parked at the business.

Dec. 1

2:22 p.m. Theft. Walmart. An adult male was witnessed leaving the store with unpaid merchandise. The male attempted to evade officers and provided false information. He was located and placed under arrest without incident.

11:21 p.m.  Stalled vehicle. 2nd Street S. While on patrol, an officer saw a vehicle stalled in the roadway. The driver stated he was still learning how to drive a stick and stalled the vehicle. The officer helped push the vehicle to the side of the road.
