Early voting for the Nov. 5 General Election continues through Monday, Nov. 4.

The general election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5, and people can vote in-person at their local precincts that day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In Stearns County, walk-in voting locations are the Lake George Municipal Complex at 1101 Seventh St. S. in St Cloud and the Stearns County Service Center at 3301 CR 138 in Waite Park. Both locations are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

St. Joseph, Sartell, Sauk Centre, Cold Spring, Paynesville and St. Augusta will carry only their cities’ ballots.

Additional Days

Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at all voting locations.

Sunday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Stearns County and St. Cloud locations only.

Monday, Nov. 4 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at all absentee voting locations.

Watch your attire

Voters are reminded to be mindful of their attire at the polling place. Clothing should not display any representation of a candidate, question or political party that appears on the ballot.

According to MN Statute 211B.11 Subdivision 1, a person must not (2) wear, exhibit or distribute any item that displays the name, likeness, logo or slogan of a candidate who appears on the ballot; the number, title, subject, slogan or logo of a ballot question that appears on the ballot; or the name, logo or slogan of a political party represented by a candidate on the ballot.

Dennis Dalman

Dalman was born and raised in South St. Cloud, graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School, then graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in English (emphasis on American and British literature) and mass communications (emphasis on print journalism). He studied in London, England for a year (1980-81) where he concentrated on British literature, political science, the history of Great Britain and wrote a book-length study of the British writer V.S. Naipaul. Dalman has been a reporter and weekly columnist for more than 30 years and worked for 16 of those years for the Alexandria Echo Press.
