Families experience engineering wonders

photo by Logan Gruber Amy Simon watched her two children, Carter and Kalei, build and experiment with hover devices Tuesday night in the Kennedy Community School gym during an "Engineering Encounter." This was the first engineering station Kalei and Carter stopped at out of three separate stations, all put on by the the Works Museum of Bloomington and the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers. The two organizations partnered to create a fun night of hands-on activities, like straw rockets, catapults, circuit play and more. Kennedy Community School is one of only four places where the "Engineering Encounter" is being held in Minnesota this year.
