The fish pond at the College of St. Benedict welcomed its resident koi back to its waters April 29 after a brief ceremony.
Due to repair work done last year on the St. Joseph water tower, the city water was routed through the college campus. Because city water is chlorinated, it prevented the fish from being returned to the pond, so this will be the first time the fish have seen the pond since fall 2014.
