Jerry Raymond, Sartell

For a community to have strong public safety it requires a good working relationship between the safety departments (police and fire), the members of the community and especially our elected officials.  The single most important item a government can give its people is safety.

Sartell, its people and government, have been strong supporters of public safety as far back as I can remember.  The proof of this is in the passing of our latest public-safety referendum which is giving us a new public-safety building beginning construction this coming spring.

When my father, Emmons Raymond, sat on the city council back in the 1970s and 1980s, he took pride in our public safety and helped grow it to where it is today.  Now we have a mayoral candidate in Ryan Fitzthum willing to continue to ensure we have the resources necessary to keep our safety departments strong and ready to protect our community.

I hope no one ever needs these services, but we know that will never be the case.  So, when the call goes out for help, let’s ensure a continued quality response from our police and fire that we have enjoyed for many years.  Help keep this possible with a vote for Ryan Fitzthum for mayor of the city of Sartell.
