There is a wide variety of summer-fun activities in St. Joseph for people of all ages throughout the month of May.
The following is a line-up of the events:
Kids Bike Safety Event: Join the St. Joseph Women of Today for the third annual bike-safety event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 13 at Klinefelter Park. There will be free bike helmets for the first 100 kids. Participants can enter their name for drawings to win a free bike and other prizes.
Movie in the Park: 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at Millstream Park. Bring your blankets and chairs. Concessions will be available for purchase or movie-goers can bring their own.
Pickleball: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays; 6-9 p.m. Mondays; 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays at Kennedy Community School; $2 fee.
Open Gym at Kennedy: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays, 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays. Play basketball, volleyball, soccer or any other kind of game. $2 fee.
Summer Recreation Sign-ups: T-ball, soft-toss, softball, coach pitch, soccer, basketball, toddler triathlon. Sign up by Friday, April 28 or until all spots are filled, at cityofstjoseph.com or in person at the St. Joseph Government Center.
Twins Game vs Giants: Wednesday, May 24. Cost is $65 (nonrefundable). It includes coach bus, seating in section S, Rows 9-14, hotdogs, burgers, chicken tenders, popcorn, soda, water and more. Adults 50 and over have first priority. Reserve a spot by May 3 by contacting Whitney Senior Center whitneyseniorcenter@ci.stcloud.mn.us or call 320-255- 245.
Plastic Eggs Needed: If you have unwanted plastic eggs, the St. Joseph Recreation Department is collecting them to use for future activities. Drop them off at the St. Joseph Government Center from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
