A garage containing several vehicles, tractors, ATVs and equipment was a total loss after an Oct. 23 fire in St. Augusta.
At approximately 8:42 a.m. Oct. 23, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center received a report of a fire at 4668 Loehrer Drive, in the City of St Augusta. The caller reported seeing a fire at his neighbor’s involving a detached garage.
When the deputy arrived, he found the garage fully engulfed which had the potential to spread to nearby buildings. Firefighters from the St. Augusta and Rockville fire departments were able to stop the fire from spreading to other nearby buildings, but the garage was considered a total loss. The garage contained several vehicles, tractors, ATVs and equipment inside. The homeowner was not home at the time, and no one was injured.
Mayo Ambulance service also stood by at the incident location.
