For the first time, Sartell now has a Miss Sartell and two princesses to represent the city.
At a pageant June 7 at Living Waters Church, three of five contestants were chosen as “Sartell Royalty” and then – to rousing applause – they were crowned on stage by Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum.
The young women will represent the City of Sartell at public programs, parades and special events.
The royal trio are Miss Sartell Reagan Hengel and Princesses Chloe Rogers and Lily Warnert. Rogers was also chosen as “Evening Gown” winner; and Warnert was named “Miss Congeniality.”
All five candidates were sponsored by area businesses.
Before the winners were announced, the candidates danced, did an evening-gown walk and answered questions posed by the five judges.
Hengel
Miss Sartell Reagan Hengel, the daughter of Tina and Joe Hengel, will be a high-school senior this fall. Hengel said she loves to shop with her friends and spend time poolside with her parents.
Hengel has been on many mission trips with her church, spends a lot of time at her friends’ cabins and last summer she took a 30-day canoeing/portaging trip with Les Voyageurs organization. She described herself as a social person who loves to keep busy with her nannying job and work at Hollister, a St. Cloud clothing shop.
Children are her passion, and she said as Miss Sartell she is most looking forward to spending time with kids and being able to share her love for the community with the residents of Sartell. In the future, Reagan hopes to become a sonographer, which is a diagnostic medical technician.
Warnert
Sartell Princess and “Miss Congeniality” winner Lily Warnert is the daughter of Sarah and Heath Warnert. She will be a high-school senior this fall. She hopes to become a kindergarten teacher.
Warnert said what she loves most about Sartell is the close relationships families share through love and support. She has been a dancer for 16 years and is about to be on the Sartell Sabre Dance Team for the fourth consecutive year.
Lily’s hobbies include working at the Buckle in the mall, volunteering at the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud and helping with the kindergartners at Oak Ridge Elementary School.
Rogers
Sartell Princess and “Evening Gown” winner Chloe Rogers is the daughter of Tammy Rogers. She will be a high-school senior next year and is a member of the Sartell Sabre Dance Team. She is a student “Influencer” at The Waters Church.
In her spare time, Rogers enjoys spending time with her friends and family, working as a nursing assistant at Edenbrook, spending time with her dogs, Nahla and Reuger, and volunteering at Country Manor in Sartell. She also enjoys deer hunting and ice fishing. She plans to become a physician’s assistant or an anesthesiologist.
Grove, Lundquist
The other two candidates were Kaylee Grove, daughter of Kristine and Cory Grove; and McKenzie Lundquist, daughter of Katie and Ben Lundquist.
