People gather by the Ladder No. 2 fire truck at the second annual Heroes Appreciation Picnic. The ladder on the truck is a 65-foot extending ladder. The department has 30 members. Captain Shirlie Brill said the department has two pumpers, a tanker that holds 3,000 gallons of water, rescue van, grass rig, side-by-side mule, personal hauler and a snowmobile.
