Many kind and generous people are contributing to help the people of Ukraine now under murderous assaults against civilian men, women and children by Russia’s military.

But sad to say, there are already reports that some of those kind and generous people are being “took” by scammers (crooks), with contributions being pocketed by scoundrels.

People who contribute should be careful and double-check to make sure their goods or money are going to legitimate helpers.

The following are just some of the reliable places. To check for others, google “Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance.”

UNICEF (to help children in Ukraine): www.unicefusa.org

Save The Children: www.savethechildren.org

Ukrainian Red Cross: www.redcross.org

Catholic Relief Services: https://support.crs.org/donate/donate-ukraine

Doctors Without Borders: doctorswithoutborders.org

World Central Kitchen: www.wck.org/donate

Humane Society International (animals are suffering and dying,  too.) www.donate.hsi.org

wcco.helpukraine (Twin  Cities Channel 4, WCCO-TV has set up a helping organization).
