For the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the Tri-County Humane Society will host one of its biggest fundraisers, “Wine, Kibbles and Bids,” in person.
It will take place, as it has in the past, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, May 5 at the Gorecki Center on the campus of the College of St. Benedict.
Tickets are on sale for $75 per person.
“Wine, Kibble and Bids” includes hors d’oeuvres, wine- and beer-tasting (non-alcohol versions available), a pet auction, raffle drawings, live music and a one-of-a-kind silent auction. The humane society will also have an online silent auction.
“We’re thrilled to be back to an in-person event,” said Emily Prodinsky, TCHS manager of fund development. “It promises to be a night of inspiration and generosity as we get together to support the animals at TCHS. We will once again hold the silent auction and the wine and beer as in previous years. You can expect a slightly more casual atmosphere this year as we give a nod to the event’s date, Cinco de Mayo (the Fifth of May).”
Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage.
The TCHS is seeking donated items to use in its silent auction, such as art works, craft items, gift cards, bottles of wine and more. To donate items or if anyone has questions, call Emily Prodinsky at 320-252-0896, ext. 14.

In 2022, the TCHS placed 1,196 animals in foster homes, found places for 5,207 animals and did 3,602 surgeries, mainly for spaying/neutering the animals before adoptions.
