May 17

3:30 a.m. Welfare check. 21 CR 120. Officers were dispatched to Walmart for an intoxicated male complaining of a broken leg. Upon arrival officers met with the man and didn’t observe any signs that his leg was broken. The male was intoxicated and wished to go to the hospital. Officers transported him to the St. Cloud Hospital without incident.

10:41 p.m. Warrant. 21 CR 120. Officers received information about an individual who had a warrant out for their arrest. Officers were advised the female individual was sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the female without incident.

May 18

11:04 a.m. Medical. 1001 Second Street S. Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Westside Liquor for an adult female who had fallen on the ground while walking to her car. Upon officer arrival on scene, the female was leaned over in the driver’s seat and had slurred speech. She was able to tell the officers she was on medication for seizures but didn’t provide any further history. The female provided a preliminary breath test which registered .00. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and believed the female patient was showing signs of a stroke. She was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by ambulance.

10:43 p.m. Traffic stop. Hwy. 15/CR 120. While on routine patrol, an officer observed a car traveling on the diverging diamond intersection. The officer ran the registration on the vehicle which showed the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver admitted to knowing his license was suspended. The driver was cited for the violation and his vehicle was parked for the evening.

May 19

8 a.m. Traffic stop. 1700 block of Pinecone Road N. While on routine patrol and traveling north on Pinecone Road N., an officer observed a vehicle approaching from the south at a high rate of speed. The officer took radar of the vehicle and the radar indicated the vehicle was traveling 62 mph in a posted 40-mph zone. The officer stopped the vehicle at 15th Street N. The officer identified the driver and notified him of the reason for the stop. He indicated he was sorry but was running late. The driver was cited for the speed violation and released.

8:49 p.m. Medical. 520 First Street NE. Officers were dispatched to Country Manor for a 94-year-old female patient who had fallen. Officer arrived on scene and located the patient on the bathroom floor. The patient didn’t have any back or neck pain but had some pain on the top of her head. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and took over the patient assessment; she was not transported to the hospital.

May 20

11:12 a.m. Medical. 1090 Second Street S. Officers were dispatched to Garden Wok for a 20-year-old male who was seizing. Upon arrival, officers located the male patient lying on his side. The male party was not currently seizing but was still out of it. Officers moved him to his back and the patient began to regain consciousness. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and assessed the patient; he was not transported to the hospital.

5:13 p.m. Disorderly. 673 Brianna Dive. Officers were dispatched to Legends of Heritage Place for a combative resident. Upon arrival officers met with staff, who stated de-escalation techniques and medication were having no effect. Officers then met with the resident. The resident was not aggressive or violent while officers were present but was not cooperative. Eventually the individual agreed to be transported to the hospital for an evaluation.

May 21

12:59 a.m. Open container. 120 Twin Rivers Court. While on routine patrol and investigating a suspicious vehicle in the McDonald’s parking lot, an officer observed in plain view an open container of alcohol behind the driver’s seat. Officers also discovered the driver had a suspended license. The vehicle was searched and officers located a small amount of marijuana in a glass pipe. The driver was cited for driving after suspension, open bottle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:10 p.m. Traffic stop. Evergreen Drive/Le Sauk Drive. While parked at River Vista Lane and CR 1 monitoring traffic, an officer observed a silver passenger car traveling north on CR 1. The officer ran the registration on the vehicle and discovered the registered owner had a suspended license. The driver matched the description of the registered owner so the officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was identified as the registered owner and while speaking with the driver, the officer observed an odor of marijuana. The vehicle was searched but officers didn’t locate any drugs or paraphernalia. The driver was cited for driving after suspension and released.

May 22

8:01 a.m. Vehicle accident. 600 block of Pinecone Road S. An officer was dispatched for a motor-vehicle crash without injuries. Upon arrival, both vehicles were pulled over on Sixth Street S. at Victory Ave., facing Westbound. The officer met with both drivers who explained the same story. Both vehicles were southbound on Pinecone Road South, approaching the roundabout at Heritage. Vehicle one was yielding to traffic in the roundabout when it was rear-ended by vehicle two. Both vehicles had moderate damage. Photos of the damage was taken and an accident-exchange form was filled out and explained to both drivers.

11:09 a.m. Medical. 2291 Connecticut Ave. An officer was dispatched to Perkins for a male party who had fallen in the parking lot and was bleeding. Upon arrival, the officer observed the male patient lying on his side, bleeding from the head. He was being tended to by a nurse and Sartell Firefighter. The officer used a trauma pad and applied direct pressure to the head wound. The patient was put into c-spine and rolled to his back to try to control the bleeding. Gold Cross ambulance arrived on scene and the officer assisted paramedics as necessary.

May 23

7:09 p.m. Medical. Fourth Avenue S. Officers responded to a medical involving an infant who was having trouble breathing. Upon arrival on scene, the child’s condition had improved. Officers observed normal vitals and color. Officers monitored the child’s condition until Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene.

8:40 p.m. Motorist assist. 14th Avenue E. An officer was dispatched for a vehicle unlock. The registered owner of the vehicle had accidentally locked her keys inside the vehicle. The officer was able to open the vehicle from the passenger side without issue.
