Two Sartell students were recently named to the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Superior during the Spring 2023 semester. They are the following: Blanca Severson and Jordann Swingle. Students must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to qualify.
Six Sartell students were recently named to the spring dean’s list at Winona (Minn.) State University. They are the following: Katie Conard, Abigail Daniels, Kristin Davis, Ella Simmons, Chloe Swanson and Holynne Zeilenga. Students must achieve a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 to qualify.
Blake Niemeyer of St. Stephen was recently named to the spring dean’s list at the North Dakota State University, Fargo. Students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to qualify.
Fifteen Sartell students were recently named to the spring dean’s list at North Dakota State University, Fargo. They are the following: Brandon Bokelman, Chloe Brinker, Katelyn Bunde, Dylan Chrast, Kenzie Clark, Shane Corbett, Ryan Fernholz, Samuel Fernholz, Sara Hennemann, Kyle Heying, Reese Knudson, Kaylan Kremer, Callahan Mechelke, Aria Staiger and Lauren Yelle. Students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to qualify.
Thomas Connolly of Sartell was recently named to the spring dean’s list at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash. Students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to qualify.
Brooke Schwieters of Sartell recently earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth.
Two Sartell students were recently named to the spring dean’s list at Iowa State University, Ames. They are the following: Annabelle Hansen and Callie Schaefer. Students must earn a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 to qualify.
Claire Idzerda of Sartell was recently named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Sioux Falls (S.D). To qualify, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average.
Eight Sartell students were recently named to the spring dean’s list at the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth. They are the following: Josie Boelter, Brenna Chisholm, Alexandra Illies, Emma Janu, Erika Johnson, Emma Lathe, Madelyn Ouart and Lauren Schmitz.
Students must achieve a minimum 3.75 grade-point average to qualify.
The Sartell Historical Society along with the Sartell Senior Connection sponsored a Medallion Hunt in conjunction with Sartell SummerFest. Clues were available at the Sartell Community Center, City Hall and Knotty Paws starting May 16. The medallion was found on May 25 by Lisa Boe of Sartell and her grandsons, Bauer and Jameson Brookins, at the District Service Center playground. Boe was an avid medallion hunter in the past, but this was her first time finding the token. In years past, the medallion was metal prompting her grown children to give her a metal detector. This year the medallion was made out of wood by Ron Hurd. Boe, Bauer and Jameson were presented prizes of a laptop and PlayStation donated by Bluestem by members of the Sartell Historical Society and the Sartell Senior Connection.

Rylee Notch of Sartell was recently named to the spring dean’s list at at Alexandria (Minn.) Technical & Community College. To be eligible for the honor, students must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point average.

High school student athletes and teams from Sartell, Cathedral, Apollo, ROCORI, Albany, Holdingford and St. Cloud Tech will participate at the 2023 Minnesota State High School Clay Target League Trap Shooting Championships to be held June 12-20 at the Alexandria Shooting Park. With a total of more than 8,000 participants, the Trap Shooting Championship is the largest clay target shooting competition in the world.
