March 1
2:36 p.m. Hit and run. Baker Street E. An officer was dispatched to a hit and run at the Carlson Crossing Townhomes. Spoke with complainant who stated the vehicle she called in about backed into her vehicle. She stated she was trying to get a picture of the driver prior to him backing into the car. She watched the vehicle hit hers. It popped out the rear driver’s side side panel. There were a few kids present as well who observed the suspicious vehicle hit hers. She stated she came out and yelled at the man leaving that he had hit her vehicle. He took off out of the parking lot at a high rate of speed. Spoke with the renter at apartment 26 where the man is supposed to be staying. Tenant stated driver is a friend of hers , officer gave her a card to give to him to give the officer a call to chat about it and fully identify who the man is. Photos and statement were taken.

March 3
8:23 p.m. Choking incident. Iverson Street W. Units were dispatched to a medical. Arrived on scene and baby was no longer choking. Baby was choking on phlegm during nighttime bottle. He was unable to breath and couldn’t get the phlegm out. 

March 7
7:36 p.m. Suspicious activity. Jade Road. Complainant reported there were three vehicles parked at the school, one of which was occupied, and one was possibly speeding around the parking lot. An officer arrived on scene and observed one vehicle with headlights on, and two others parked by the school entrance. When checking the two vehicles, the other vehicle drove away. The two vehicles were unoccupied. The officer checked the surrounding area and did not locate anyone. The other vehicle eventually came back and dropped off two young women. They stated they had lacrosse practice and were getting dropped off. No crime committed, so no one was ID’d. 

March 9
3:12 a.m. DWI. Minnesota Street W. While on foot patrol, an officer observed in the area of the St. Joseph Laundromat and the St. Joseph Meat Market a vehicle auto started and another vehicle pulled into the parking lot. Officer walked by the vehicle and observed the rear driver’s side passenger exit the vehicle with an open container of beer. The officer searched the vehicle, located other open containers. Driver was arrested for suspicion of DWI.

March 12
9:06 p.m. Date Street W. An officer was dispatched to a Rottweiler off leash trying to attack caller’s daughter’s car. The dog lives along College Avenue N. Officer arrived and talked to the daughter and then made contact with the dogs owner who said the dog, Chopper, pulled the stake out of the ground due to it being soft. Owner said he understands why people would be afraid because Chopper is a big dog but says he is very friendly. Owner said he will make sure dog is more secure. 

March 13
3:46 p.m. Fraud. Pearl Drive. An officer was dispatched to a fraud at North Floors LLC. Complainant stated on March 8 he received an email that he thought was from his bank, Falcon National, stating there was fraud detected. Complainant called the phone number and provided personal info. On March 11, complainant noticed a $45,500 wire transfer to a `tavarus stirrup` and a $3.99 charge from Walgreen’s #7844 in Hialeah, Fla. Complainant is currently working with fraud investigators. The officer sent an email and left a message for them to call me with more info for further investigation. 

March 15
11:44 p.m. Bar checks. Minnesota Street W. Officers conducted a bar check at Sal’s Bar and La Playette. The bars were not overly full and no issues were observed. One of the officers located a sign-and-release warrant at the La Playette. 

March 17
00:38 a.m. Intoxicated person. Minnesota Street W. While patroling, an officer saw a white man stumbling and carrying an open 12-ounce bottle of beer. When the officer stopped the man, he had blood shot watery eyes, seemed to be slurring his speech and officer could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. While looking for his Minnesota driver’s license, the officer could see another MN ID in his wallet and officer asked suspect to give him the fake ID and he handed a fake MN ID with his picture and information on it. The man blew a .235 breathalyzer reading. Officer issued a citation for minor consumption, open bottle and possession of fake ID and explained. Then man was released to a sober friend. 

March 19
2:43 p.m. Threats. Seventh Avenue SE. An officer was dispatched to a threats complaint at Serenity on 7th. The officer met with staff who got info from the victim. Staff stated the suspect has been getting into verbal altercations with the victim and it’s an ongoing issue. Staff and the officer spoke with victim who stated suspect liked to be loud and yells at people in the lunchroom. Victim stated suspect is disruptive. Victim stated suspect walked past him in the hallway today and shook his fist at him. Victim said suspect said victim will get his one day. Victime said he feels suspect could possibly do something physical due to being quick to anger. The officer asked what started the issue and victim stated one day suspect was being loud in the lunchroom and victim asked suspect to leave his table alone. Suspect was upset about the situation and was stating he didn’t threaten victim. He stated victim makes him upset. Suspect stated victim causes issues and that he just yells back. Suspect was informed he needs to leave victim alone or suspect could end up getting evicted from the property. This will be documented at this time. It should be noted that suspect has a traumatic brain injury. 

March 21
1:57 p.m. Harassment/threats. Dale Street E. The complainant came into the police department to report a harassment/threats complaint. The complainant lives in Roscoe but also lives on Dale Street E. Complainant received a follow and then a message on instagram from a girl named Pearl (pearl_knk_ii / stellakay23_). They had a conversation starting at 8:03 a.m. Complainant sent two pictures of his privates and the suspect screenshot it and started demanding money. Complainant sent $300 over Apple Cash but that was cancelled. Complainant then sent $270 over Cash App to “$heywhan.” Suspect created an instagram group chat with the complainant’s sister and step mom. Suspect sent screen shot but no one accepted the invite. Complainant said he didn’t care about the money but wanted suspect to leave him alone. Preservation requests sent to instagram profiles. Cashapp stated no info on file for username and no money in the account. Cashapp advised the IP address was from overseas and account info fraudulant. Instagram said no identifying info. 

March 23
11:52 p.m. False ID/underage drinking. College Avenue N. While performing bar checks, an officer saw suspect standing by the back bar holding two bottles of beer. The officer recognized suspect from a fake Minnesota driver’s license they received from the morning earlier. The officer knew suspect was under the age of 21, so they asked suspect if he gave the bouncer his real Colorado driver’s license and he said no. Suspect gave the officer a fake Wisconsin driver’s license. Suspect admitted to having three drinks and he gave a breathalyzer reading of .103. The officer issued a citation for minor consumption and possession of fake ID and explained both to suspect.
