Farmers’ markets in St. Joseph, St. Cloud
Get produce and artisan goods direct from local growers and makers in St. Joseph from 3-6 p.m. Fridays in the parking lot on Hwy. 2 at Resurrection Lutheran Church and Lake Wobegon Trailhead and in St. Cloud from 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays in the parking lot on Hwy 23 and Sixth Avenue S. across from Fitzharris.
Vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, bread, coffee, honey, maple syrup, herbs and spices. Also flowers and starter plants. Check out personal care items, candles, wool, jewelry and other artisan-made items. A special “bonus” market will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at the corner of Minnesota Street and College Avenue in downtown St. Joseph.
Farmers market open Mondays
Sartell Farmers Market is currently open every Monday from 3-6 p.m. in Scheel’s Athletic Complex parking lot on North Pine Cone Road. Summer is here and the vegetables are starting to arrive. Find great items like: Asparagus, lettuce, radishes, onions, rhubarb, breads, treats, honey, meat, eggs, and much more. More new vegetables arriving every week.
Suicide prevention offers text messaging helpline
The National Alliance on Mental Illness recently launched a nationwide SMS/text message support option. Young people experiencing a crisis prefer texting. 62640 connects to the NAMI Helpline and is available to all. Text “HELPLINE” TO 62640 for mental health support between 9 a.m.–9 p.m. CST Monday-Friday. This free, peer-support service provides information, resource referrals and support to people living with a mental health condition, their family members and caregivers, mental health providers and the public.
