I just started reading the ever-thinning edition of your paper. On the front page, you’re asking for donations and new sponsors while lamenting on how hard of a year this will be for the paper.
All of your reader service area is conservative and/or Republican. A 50-50 split of liberal vs. conservative views has never happened in this paper. 78 of 87 counties voted for Trump, including Benton and Stearns. So what outcome do you expect from constantly publishing liberal viewpoints?
It didn’t help your case when you published Dennis Dalman’s history story a few weeks ago. He’s proud of his Vietnam war protesting years when many of your readers enlisted. How many readers do you think served from 1966-1973?
Still not sure about columnist Janagan Ramanathan’s service history; former “Naval Service Midshipman” does not mean he served, only that he went to school. All we hear from him is War, so enough with him supporting the race to WW III. Go back to the Academy, serve in the active forces and then see how your opinion lines up with the majority.
Constant publishing of liberal Democrat views and elections, and you fail to recognize the Conservative mandate in 2024. If I owned a business I would not pay to advertise in a publication that constantly opposes my views. If yours was a paid subscription, you would have been out of business a long time ago. So keep doing what you’re doing and see where it gets you.
