Letters to Editor written to the Sartell-St. Stephen Newsleader must not exceed a maximum of 250 words.
That is because the Newsleader has been receiving an increasing number of letters, some of them up to 500 words in length. With that many long letters there is simply no room in the newspaper to get all of them published in a timely way.
Letters that exceed 250 words will be edited, or they will be returned to the writer to be pared down to the 250-word limit.
Letters must include the writer’s name, city of residence, phone number of the writer, a mailing address and, if possible, an email address.
