Announcements brought to you by Cultural Bridges of St. Joseph, a volunteer-run organization and committee of Central Minnesota Community Empowerment Organization. We are dedicated to easing your transition into our community.

It was just two weeks ago that we shared food and friendship with our neighbors of many cultures and backgrounds at Resurrection Lutheran Church Hall.

Words do not express our sorrow for all those families who have suffered yet another atrocity in two of the mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.  We stand united with our Somali and Muslim community here in Saint Joseph and offer our prayers for healing throughout the world.

Cultural Bridges/Central Minnesota Community Empowerment Organization of St. Joseph.

Statement from Greater St. Cloud Area Faith Leaders:

Our hearts grieve for our Muslim brothers and sisters who were brutally murdered in the attacks on two mosques in New Zealand. We stand with them in solidarity, and we offer our prayers for them, for those who lost loved ones, and for the members of our local Islamic community who are hurting in the wake of this tragedy.

As people of faith, we condemn all acts of violence motivated by hatred and bigotry, and we recommit ourselves to working for peace and understanding among people of all faiths and backgrounds. Religious freedom is a core human right, and we all suffer when a house of worship is maliciously attacked. We pray for healing and justice. We pledge to continue our work locally to build positive relationships among all people and work for an end to intolerance and the violence it leads to.
