STL 2-2 MathCounts winners

contributed photo The Sartell Middle School MathCounts team took fourth place at the 2017 statewide MathCounts competition in Plymouth. One of its members, David Zhang (fourth from left), was the top scorer of 135 participants in the event and will go on to national completion with the four-member Minnesota team. The Sartell team members are (left to right) Emma Yao, sixth grade; Alice Colatrella, eighth grade; Will Yu, eighth grade; and David Zhang, eighth grade. The team’s coach is Shiju Zhang, the father of David Zhang.
