“Meritorious Citizenship Awards” were presented to two Sartell clinics at a recent Sartell City Council meeting – the honored recipients being Williams Integracare and Demuth Spinal Care and Concussion.
The awards were presented by Sartell Public Safety director and Police Chief Brandon Silgjord at the June 23 council meeting. See related story for other award winners at that council meeting.
A previous Meritorious Service Award was presented at an earlier council meeting to Sartell Police Sgt. Jordan Miller for his outstanding project management on numerous projects, including a comprehensive overhaul of the entire police policy manual, as well as his successful resolutions of several high-profile criminal cases.
Williams and Demuth clinics were cited for partnering with Sartell Public Safety to create wellness and support programs for police officers and firefighters. Williams assisted in creating a cardiac-screening and awareness program to help our first responders, who suffer cardiac problems at a much higher rate than the general public. Demuth helped create a program to provide concussion baseline testing and spinal assessments for first responders who are much more prone to such injuries due to the equipment use and physical demands of the job. Both clinics have also made after-care and follow-up care more available and personalized for firefighters, police officers and first responders.
