An evening motorcycle/deer collision on July 3 sent the motorcycle driver and a passenger to the hospital.
On July 3, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motorcycle crash with injuries near the intersection of CR 7 and Dellwood Road in Fairhaven Township.
Upon arrival on scene deputies determined Christopher Brown, 42, of Clear Lake was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson southbound on CR 7 when a deer ran into the motorcycle causing Brown to lose control and crash. Brown and his passenger Char Matthees-Reid, 45, of Clearwater, sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, South Haven Fire/Rescue and Mayo Ambulance.
