A new “Drinking Liberally” chapter will hold its first meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the American Legion in St. Joseph. Drinking Liberally is an informal, non-programmatic gathering of left-leaning progressives who want to share ideas while also sharing a pitcher or a pint. It’s not affiliated with any political party. It is not an organization created for the purpose of fundraising. Rather, Drinking Liberally is a fast-growing phenomenon created for the exchange of thoughts and ideas. So, please join us and see what we’re all about. “America was born in taverns . . . And now we’re returning to promote democracy one pint at a time.”
