Nov. 7

8:19 a.m. Vehicle accident. Sartell Street W./Seventh Avenue S. An officer was dispatched for a report of a crash involving a school bus and a pickup truck. The officer arrived on scene and made contact with both drivers and the students on the bus. All parties involved stated they were uninjured. Both drivers explained their story to the officer. The driver of the pickup truck stated he observed the bus to be stopped and picking up kids at the corner of Sartell Street W. and Seventh Avenue S. He stated he then began backing out of his driveway. The man stated the bus hit him. The bus driver stated he struck the truck as he rounded the corner. He claimed he didn’t see the truck due to the sun’s glare. The officer completed an accident exchange form and issued it to both drivers.

6:32 p.m. Assist agency. River Oaks Lane. Officers were dispatched to assist Stearns County with a possible overdose. Officers arrived on scene and located an unresponsive female party in a basement bathroom. Officers provided medical attention and administered Narcan. Gold Cross Ambulance arrived on scene and took over care. Officers assisted as necessary.

Nov. 8

7:56 a.m.  DWI. Benton Drive/First Street NE. While on routine patrol, an officer observed two vehicles pulled over on the side of the road. The officer stopped and soon learned the vehicles had been involved in an accident. While making contact with both drivers the officer noticed one of the drivers appeared impaired. The officer administered field sobriety testing on the driver and he failed all testing. The driver was placed under arrest and charged with fourth-degree DWI.

6:26 p.m. Domestic. Second Street N. Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a report of a verbal domestic. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with a male and female party. Both stated the argument was only verbal and nothing physical had occurred. Officers reminded them to keep their arguments under control.

Nov. 9

11:57 a.m. Medical. Troop Drive. An officer was dispatched for a report of a 21-year-old female who had pain in her ribs. The officer arrived on scene and located the female in the hallway outside of her apartment. The female stated she had been vomiting all night and now had pain in her ribs that was radiating to her back. Gold Cross arrived on scene and the officer assisted with loading the patient for transport to the St. Cloud Hospital.

4:31 p.m. Medical. 100 Second St. S. An officer was dispatched to Williams Integracare Clinic for a report of an elderly male who was going in and out of consciousness. The officer arrived on scene and met with nursing staff who were attending to the male. The male was alert and was provided oxygen. The officer monitored the male’s condition until Gold Cross arrived on scene to take over the assessment.

Nov. 10

2 p.m. Traffic stop. Evergreen Road. While on routine patrol and monitoring traffic on First Street NE, an officer ran a routine check on a vehicle and discovered the male registered owner had a warrant out for his arrest. The officer observed the driver to be male and conducted a stop on the vehicle. The officer then made contact with the driver and told him the reason for the stop. The male party provided identification which didn’t match the registered owner. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered the man had a revoked driver’s license. The driver was cited for driving after revocation and released.

Nov. 11

11:17 a.m. Motorist assist. Fifth Street N. An officer was dispatched for a vehicle unlock. The officer arrived on scene and made contact with the complainant. The male gave permission for the officer to unlock the vehicle and waived liability. The officer made entry through the driver’s door using a slim jim.

1:05 p.m. Medical. Fifth Avenue E. Officers were dispatched for a report of a 34-year-old male who was having difficulty breathing. Offices arrived on scene and met with the male. He stated he was having extreme back pain. Officers provided oxygen and assisted the male with controlling his breathing. Gold Cross arrived on scene and officers assisted as necessary.

Nov. 12

11:50 p.m. Domestic. Two-and-a-half Street N. Officers were dispatched for a report of a domestic between a male and his son. Officers were advised the son was possibly wanted. Offices arrived on scene and met with the male complainant who stated his son had left on foot. Officers set a perimeter, locating the wanted man within a few minutes. The man’s warrant was confirmed through dispatch so he was placed under arrest and transported to the Stearns County Jail.

Nov. 13

9:02 p.m. Medical. 673 Brianna Drive. An officer was dispatched to Edgewood for a report of an elderly male who had fallen, striking his head. The officer arrived on scene and conducted an assessment of the male patient. The officer located a bump on the back of the male’s head which was bleeding. The man’s vitals appeared normal. Gold Cross arrived on scene and took over the assessment. The man was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital.

Nov. 14

5:07 p.m.  Suicidal. City of Sartell. Offices were dispatched for a report of a male party who was suicidal and had cut his wrist. Officers arrived on scene and located the male party. The male had superficial cuts on his wrist that were not deep but bleeding. Officers applied pressure to the cuts until Gold Cross arrived on scene. Paramedics bandaged up the cuts and cleared the male. Officers then transported the male to the St. Cloud Hospital for an evaluation.
