Help build homes
Habitat’s volunteer calendar is ready for you to sign up! Habitat for Humanity is currently working on two homes in our community: Faith Build and Women’s Build. At the end of October, they will also start working on their Tiger 6 Build. They will be in a rush to get the foundation and garage done before things start to freeze. They could really use your help! If you are concerned about Covid-19, they are happy to accommodate with masks, hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes available at their build sites. Tax site greeters
TriCap is looking for volunteers to greet customers for taxpayers who are receiving services. The greeter is the first friendly face who welcomes customers and directs them. The greeter plays an integral role to ensure a positive experience for Tri-CAP clients. They are looking for volunteers in all capacities for their sites. Winter gear for kids
Collect winter gear to help kids stay warm this cold winter season. All gently used and new winter clothing of all sizes accepted. Items include hats, waterproof gloves, snow pants, coats/jackets, boots and warm socks. Contact Mary Krippner at 320-223-7991 or mkrippner@unitedwayhelps.org.
Math tutors sought
Around Cloud Tutors is a partnership mission of United Way of Central Minnesota/PFSS and Greater St. Cloud Development Corp. with the goal of providing equitable educational opportunities for all through free digital K-12 tutoring. Tutors will support the educational needs of students by serving as an online tutor, reading helper or post-secondary advisor. The program is especially in need of math tutors for high school students. Volunteers will help students complete homework by being a present resource, dependable, punctual and must have technology equipped with a video camera and working knowledge of Zoom.
