Halloween Fun House seeks volunteers
Come be a character in Country Manor’s annual Halloween Fun House! Their theme this year is the Wizard of Oz. They are looking for volunteers to be a character in a walk-through spooky Halloween house. Characters are needed from 1:30-4 p.m. Please arrive at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. Bri’s Lodge seeks member with marketing experience
Bri’s Lodge provides support and resources to individuals who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Their mission is to create a safe and supportive community where individuals can find comfort, understanding and hope during their grieving process. As a board member, your main responsibility will be to assist with marketing campaigns and events. This includes developing strategies to promote our organization, increase awareness of the mission, and attract more supporters and donors. You will work closely with their marketing team and provide input and ideas for various marketing initiatives. Your mission and dedication to making a difference in the lives of those experiencing grief would be invaluable in guiding the organization’s strategy and future direction. They typically meet monthly, and board members are expected to actively engage in discussions and contribute their expertise. Support homeless study as a volunteer interviewer
Volunteer as an interviewer on Thursday, Oct. 26, and shine a light on homelessness in Minnesota. Volunteering for the Minnesota Homeless Study is a unique volunteer opportunity centering on the experiences of the people being interviewed. Volunteer interviewers must be age 21 or older and able to commit to a four-hour shift at a St. Cloud site. Individuals or groups of up to 10 are welcome. Volunteers are assigned to the time of day based on the preferences noted on their application. Volunteers are required to complete 90 minutes of training prior to the interview date by watching recorded videos on their own time. Empower adults with disabilities
WACOSA empowers more than 500 adults with disabilities in central Minnesota by helping them to reach their fullest potential, offer business solutions and build community. Most services are related to skill-building and work opportunities. Use your skills, talents and interests to teach or assist clients’ creative, stimulating and varied skills. Possible classes include sewing, creative movements and dance, woodworking, leather-crafting, photography, decoupage, bogus paper painting, introductory music, self defense, knitting, cooking, poetry, healthy eating, yoga, walking and meditation. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday at all their sites. The application screening process includes a background check, interview, orientation and position-specific training. Greet visitors
Stearns County History Museum needs volunteers to greet museum visitors, provide an orientation about current exhibits, answer questions about programs, and provide general information about the museum to visitors. Museum volunteers support our programs by answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate staff. Volunteers are also able to complete research projects on various topics based on their interests and museum research needs. Museum volunteers accept payment for museum admissions and complete gift shop sales.
