Daniel Heinrich, 52, of Annandale has been a person of interest in the Jacob Wetterling case since 1989 according to Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner in a televised press conference on Thursday, Oct. 29.
Heinrich is now facing charges of possession of child pornography after 19 3-ring binders full of pictures of minors were found in his residence during the execution of an FBI search warrant.
Heinrich appeared in Federal Court Thursday morning after being arrested late Wednesday night.
