Daniel Heim, Sartell
I have known Mark Bromenschenkel for more than 30 years. I had the opportunity to serve with him on the LeSauk Township Board, where he served as a supervisor for nine years. Mark was always accessible to the LeSauk Township residents and willing to meet with them to resolve any issues. Mark helped keep LeSauk Township taxes low. Since Mark has been a Stearns County commissioner, our county tax rate has fallen by 7 percent. The Stearns County debt levels have decreased 32 percent, from $25.9 million in 2011 to $17.7 million in 2016, as well as the debt service has gone down by $600,000 since 2011.
The county departments have consistently come in under budget the last four years due to increased efficiency and reducing costs. Staffing and efficiency studies have been completed for most departments in the county. Because of these studies the county has been successful in reducing payroll growth by $1.1 million per year. In Mark’s six years as Stearns County commissioner for District 2, he has implemented the use of technology to increase efficiency in many county departments. Mark has been a true steward of our county’s money.
Mark works very hard to represent the hard-working residents of Stearns County. Residents who have any questions or concerns can call Mark, or you can attend his “Coffee with Commissioner Bromenschenkel” meetings.
I encourage everyone to get out and vote on Nov. 8 to re-elect Mark Bromenschenkel for Stearns County commissioner, District 2.
