Kent Nelson, Sartell

The racist and sexist Tom Emmer no longer represents the interest of the people in the Sixth District and should be voted out of office. He and his mentor, Donald Trump, have become traitors. Emmer voted to overturn the lawful election of Joe Biden to help support Trump. In his comments on Fox News (where else?) he called abortion “Chinese genocide.”

What is needed in the Sixth District is a person of calm and reason. That person is Jeanne Hendricks who will support women: our wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts and grandmothers. Hendricks believes in women and Emmer does not believe in women. He believes women should not be able to make their own health decisions and this radical position puts women in pre-19th amendment, (19th certified Aug. 18, 1920). Before this passage women were kept in a decade-long status as second-class citizens.

Hendricks will fight to defend every woman’s right to make her own health care decisions. Hendricks also supports and would have voted for the following: 1, 2019 (H.R. 7) paycheck fairness act – pay equity for women; 2, 2021 (H.R. 1620) the violence against women act; 3, 2021 (H.R.) equality act. Hendricks also believes in common-sense gun safety legislation passed in the 2022 bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Emmer, on the other hand, voted against every one of these bills. Check his record.

Hendricks has indicated she would like to debate Emmer on issues of importance to the people in the Sixth District.

If Emmer is willing to appear on Fox News surely he could take the time and effort to debate Hendricks. I’m calling on Emmer to quit hiding and come out and debate.
