Residents in the greater St. Cloud area may now use water without restrictions. That lift on restrictions went into effect Tuesday afternoon because on Monday emergency teams were making a critical repair to the Metro forcemain sewer system. A reduction in residents’ use of water will alleviate additional pressure on the system.
That forcemain sewer system repair has since been fixed.
The restrictions were requested for residents of Sartell, St. Joseph, St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids and Waite Park. Residents had been asked to limit water-usage for for laundry, dishwashing, for food preparation and for brushing teeth.
