Last year I retired from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office after service for 32 years (the last 14 as chief deputy sheriff). During my career I had the opportunity to work with numerous law enforcement officers including all of the current candidates for Sheriff.
I have considered the qualities of each of these men in helping me determine which one would be the best sheriff for Stearns County. I have decided that Steve Soyka has the enthusiasm, work ethic and integrity to serve us as our new sheriff. I believe that he has the ability to organize and lead this large agency and to communicate well with the citizens he serves.
Please join me at the Aug. 14 primary in helping elect Steve Soyka to the office of Stearns County sheriff.
