
The American Family Insurance/Sarah Wilczek Agency, of Rice, had a great idea to cool off the parade crowd during Rice Family Fun Day. The kids on this float took their job seriously and the overheated crowd loved it.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Marching Band wowed the parade crowd with its fancy formations Aug. 15 during Rice Family Fun Day.

The Poirier Trucking Inc. ice cream tent was a popular stop at the Rice Family Fun Day event Aug. 15. Ashley Lutz and Lindsay Loidolt, both of Rice, scooped free ice cream on the 90-degree day. Many people were taking advantage of this perk as they waited for the parade to start.

Rice Boy Scouts Troop 473 marched the flags through the Rice Family Fun Day parade and threw candy. They also worked a food stand that is one of their main fundraisers for the year.

Brea Skajewski, 4, Rice, was adorable as she threw candy from her beach-themed float during the kiddie parade held immediately before the main Rice Family Fun Day parade.

Parker Blonigen, 4, Rice, enjoyed the inflatable obstacle course with his brother during the Rice Family Fun Day event.

Rice residents Nancy Vanzee and Alanna Stier, 8, watched with anticipation as the minnows raced along the chutes during the Rice Family Fun Day event.

Sauk Rapids Ambassadors Tana Hendrickson and Nikki Bukowski volunteered with Tucker Hendrickson and Bonnie Kropp to help with the kid games during the Rice Family Fun Day event. Both girls will be seniors this fall.
