It’s time once again to get Christmas photo portraits taken with precious pets.
The Tri-County Humane Society is inviting people and their pets to participate in its annual “Santa Paws” holiday portrait fundraiser Nov. 13-15.
Santa Paws is not only a TCHS tradition, now in its 40th year, but it’s also one of the nonprofit organization’s key fundraisers for the care of homeless animals. For $55, customers receive a five-minute session with a professional photographer on a specially decorated holiday set. They leave with a flash drive with five portraits and full publishing rights. Many people enjoy getting the photos made into Christmas cards.
The portrait sessions take place in the “For Pets’ Sake Thrift Store,” which is right next to the TCHS shelter at 735 Eighth St. NE in St. Cloud. Photo times are noon-7 p.m. on both Thursday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Nov. 14; and from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Participants are asked to sign up for their appointment at tricountyhumanesociety.org/santa-paws – but TCHS will take walk-ins, too. Payment (cash, check or card) is due at the time of the appointment. This year’s photo stage set-up set will feature a gingerbread-house theme, and Santa will be present every day for the photo sessions. Pets, of course, are welcome.
Thanks to the sponsors and the volunteers donating their time, TCHS animals will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from the event.
