The home brew contest was a new addition to the Rock n' Block party this year. 4 home brews were available to be sampled.

Photo by Angie Heckman Brandl Motors, Little Falls, sponsored the cornhole tournament at the Rock n' Block Party in Sartell on August 8th. 16 teams participated in the event. Brandl is looking forward to sponsoring the tournament again next year and hopes to get even more people involved. Francisco Ramudio, St. Cloud and Jason Hendrickson, Anoka brought up the level of competition. Some of their competitors said they were a force to be reckoned with. The team learned about the tournament through online advertising.

Brandl Motors, Little Falls, sponsored the cornhole tournament at the Rock ‘n’ Block Party in Sartell Aug. 8. Sixteen teams participated in the event. Brandl is looking forward to sponsoring the tournament again next year and hopes to get even more people involved. Angie Heckman

Heckman grew up in Cambridge. She earned her bachelors degree in teaching from St. Cloud State University in 1995. Heckman has been teaching art in the Sartell schools since 1996. She earned her masters degree in education from Southwest State University in 2003. She currently teaches photography, yearbook and drawing at SHS. Heckman also owns a photography studio in Rice, AJHeckman Photography. She lives in Sartell with her husband, Josh, and three children. Heckman started as a freelance photographer for the Newsleaders in 2015.
