Sartell SummerFest will be back in full glory June 9-10 with its Libertyville family fun day, a big parade with marching bands and floats, a street dance, fireworks and other fun surprises.
The following is a line-up of events:
June 9
Libertyville. From 4-8 p.m. at Sartell City Hall. This free event, planned with the young-at-heart in mind, features bounce houses, games, other fun activities and summer snacks and refreshments.
Pedestrian Bridge. The old bridge across the Mississippi River will be officially opened as a pedestrian bridge. The ceremony starts at 8:30 p.m., and there will be a casual reception afterward on the patio of the Riverboat Depot.
Medallion Hunt. A Medallion Hunt sponsored by the Sartell Historical Society will end June 9. It started on May 16 with clues available at Sartell City Hall, the Sartell Community Center and Knotty Paws veterinary clinic.
June 10
The Parade. It starts at 10 a.m., and its route will be along CR 1 (also known as Riverside Avenue).
Street Dance. It begins at 6:30 p.m. right outside of Sartell City Hall. This year’s band is the Honey Badgers.
Citywide Garage Sale. From June 7-10, there will be garage sales all over the city. On June 7-8, the City of Sartell will host a garage sale at the Sartell Community Center.
