A semi-truck driver rolled his rig Sept. 19 south of Cold Spring. Upon extrication the driver was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.
On Sept. 19, at approximately 10:40 a.m., the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident with injuries on CR 49 near River Bend Lane in Wakefield Township, which is located approximately 1 mile south of the City of Cold Spring.
Upon arrival deputies located a man who had been trapped in the cab of the semi. Further investigation revealed the semi had been traveling northbound on CR 49 and failed to negotiate the northbound curve. This caused the driver, Tate Edward Reichmann, 22, of Villard, to enter the ditch where he then rolled the semi and trailer. Reichmann was transported to St. Cloud Hospital by Mayo Ambulance.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Cold Spring Police Department, Cold Spring Fire and Rescue, Minnesota State Patrol and Collins Brothers Towing.
