Frantober Fest, the annual event for St. Francis Xavier Catholic Community, will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 and 18 at the church, 219 Second St. N., Sartell. Sept. 18 concert opens Chamber Music Society’s season
Pacifica String Quartet, sponsored by the Chamber Music Society of St. Cloud, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at First Presbyterian Church, 340 Fifth Ave. S., St. Cloud. The concert opens the 44th season of the group and will honor the memory of Susan Dubin, the Society’s founding executive director. League of Women Voters St. Cloud Area will celebrate National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, Sept. 20, with a Voter Registration event at St. Cloud Library, Bremer Room. League members will be available from 3:30-5:30 p.m. to register voters and provide information about a schedule of candidate forums the League will sponsor in September and October.
CentraCare to offer S.A.V.E. Suicide Prevention Training
Suicidal thoughts can affect anyone regardless of their age, background or gender. These thoughts may occur due to untreated mental health conditions or challenging circumstances.
A free virtual training will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29. Join CentraCare’s Suicide Prevention Program Manager Lisa Bershok to learn more about S.A.V.E., a suicide prevention training that teaches people how to recognize the warnings signs of suicide, ask more questions and connect someone at risk to care. Just like CPR taught community members to keep people alive until they could connect them with a health care professional, S.A.V.E Suicide Prevention training does the same for those at risk of suicide.
