July 14
2:31 p.m. Dog at large. 100 block of Sixth Avenue SE. Complainant said when walking, a small tannish/brownish dog is never on a leash and runs out on the street, following her for a distance. Complainant said an owner came out and yelled at the dog last week, and didn’t speak good English. Complainant was told to call when the dog is following and an officer would stop by and try and determine which unit of the townhome it is coming from, and warn the owners.

July 15
8:49 p.m. Alarm. 100 block of Eighth Avenue SE. Dispatched to a carbon monoxide alarm. The complainant said her CO detector was chirping every few minutes. Arrived on scene and placed a battery in detector. Fire arrived on scene and did not locate any carbon monoxide.

July 16
5:34 a.m. Medical. 700 block of College Avenue S. Dispatched to a medical for a man who had a bloody nose. Arrived on scene and spoke with patient. Mayo then arrived on scene and cleared the officer.

July 17
9:50 p.m. Harassment. 100 block of Cedar Street E. Complainant said her ex-husband has been calling her and insulting her. She asked he be removed from the property. An officer arrived on scene and spoke with complainant who stated her ex lives in St. Cloud and will call her children in order to reach out to her. Complainant said he insults her, and threatened not to pay child support when she marries someone new. The officer explained the HRO/OFP process, as well as the trespass process. Advised complainant to call if her ex shows up. Attempted to call her ex, per complainant’s request, but he did not answer and his voicemail was not set up.

July 18
1:42 p.m. Suspicious activity. Northland Drive/Hickory Drive. The complainant reported a man came to the Porta Potty and threw something in the trash can. The man told the complainant to f*** off. The complainant had previously called this man in for suspicious activity and was told to call back if she saw him again. He had a warrant at that time but is now clear.

July 19
11:16 p.m. Fireworks complaint. 28539 CR 121. While on patrol, an officer observed fireworks going off in the air near CR 121 and the Sauk River. The officer parked in the Sauk River access and used their squad noptic. Observed two individuals run back and forth out in the street and light off more fireworks. They ran back and forth from a vehicle which was parked off an approach off CR 121. The officer made contact with the two men. One man admitted the fireworks belonged to him and he purchased them in North Dakota. The officer observed there were a few live fireworks left. They explained to the man the fireworks were illegal and gave him options of receiving a citation or allowing the officer to seize his fireworks so they could be destroyed. The man told the officer to take his fireworks. The fireworks were seized and will be destroyed.

July 20
6:58 a.m. False alarm. 1300 Jade Road. An officer was dispatched to an alarm at Kennedy Elementary School, but was cancelled while en route.

July 21
8 a.m. Hit-and-run crash. 1500 block of Elm Street E. An officer received a phone call regarding a hit-and-run that occurred July 18. Officer called the complainant who said she was in St. Joseph between 3-5 p.m. She said she went to the Farmers’ Market at Resurrection Lutheran Church and Coborn’s. She noticed damage to the rear left side of the vehicle when she got home. No cameras at the church. She spoke with Coborn’s and they said they would check and let her know if they saw anything. No suspects, witnesses or video. The officer responded to her residence and took photos and gave her a case number.
