On April 17, 2023, at 2:15 p.m., the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a call of a single-vehicle crash with injuries near the address of 38747 CR 1 in Brockway Township, which is located north of the city of Sartell. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies determined that Charles Finch, 74, of Litchfield, had been traveling northbound on CR 1 in his 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and struck an oak tree. Finch was transported by Mayo Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the St. Stephen Fire Department.
