Six people have filed for two open seats on the Sartell-St. Stephen School Board.
The application deadline was May 21.
Those who filed are Bill Galarneault, Chris Gross, Michelle Meyer, Brian Roelofs, Gary Schnellert and Steven Schwartz. Galarneault and Meyer have served previously on the board.
On June 7, the board reviewed the six applications. Interviews of applicants will take place during a two-day time frame, June 20-21.
At the June 25 school board meeting, board members will decide which two will serve on the board. The appointed members will serve until new members are elected by Sartell and St. Stephen residents. The two interim members who are appointed could, if they choose, file for election.
The vacancies occurred when two board members resigned. In March, Julie Zupfer Anderson resigned, citing irreconcilable differences and what she considered a lack of unified vision among the board members. In May, Patrick Jacobson-Shulte resigned because he and his family are moving outside of the school district.
