Steve recently received the endorsement of the sheriff’s patrol, correctional and dispatch unions. As a retired sheriff’s employee myself, I have never seen this support in my two-and-half decades of service. This says a lot about the trust the employees have in Steve to lead the sheriff’s office. These endorsements don’t come easy; in the history of the Stearns sheriff unions going back almost 20 years they have not endorsed anyone either inside or outside. Steve Soyka has the background and demeanor to represent our community well.
