A 16-year-old St. Joseph boy, Nathanial Wayne Morehouse, was injured in a car accident that happened sometime after 11 p.m. Saturday, May 20.
The one-vehicle crash was in the 18100 block of Upper Spunk Lake Road in Avon Township.
After arriving at the scene, Stearns County sheriff’s deputies located Morehouse in a yard near the accident scene. They then learned Morehouse had been driving a 1993 Ford F150 truck east on the road. The vehicle veered into the south ditch and into some trees. After rolling several times, the truck landed on its roof.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies located the driver and its only occupant, Morehouse, in a yard. They learned Morehouse had been driving the truck east on Upper Spunk Lake Road when it entered the south ditch and drove into a grove of trees. The truck rolled several times and landed on its roof. Morehouse was able to crawl out of the truck and into the nearby yard. He was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital for his injuries.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Avon Police Department, Avon Fire Department and the ambulance service.
