An officer-involved shooting happened in St. Joseph June 21, and the person who was shot was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital.
As of this time, details are sketchy from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department’s news release about the incident.
There was and is no danger to the public regarding the incident, the press release noted.
What is known is the shooting occurred at a residence in the 200 block of Able Street E. when the St. Joseph Police Department used a search warrant at the residence because of alleged threats of violence and a firearms case.
Assisting the police department in executing the search warrant were members of the Stearns/Benton SWAT Team. The person who was shot received emergency medical treatment at the scene before being transported to the hospital. The name and condition of the person is not yet known.
The incident is being investigated by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
