Students in the St. Cloud school district will receive three extra days of winter break, extending it to two full weeks.

The winter break will now include Dec. 20, 21 and 22, with school resuming on Jan. 3.

A statement issued by the district said, “We recognize the challenges currently facing schools and families due to staffing shortages, student absences and other impacts of the pandemic.”

As a result of this change, two previously scheduled days will shift focus from what was originally noted on the academic calendar. Jan. 18 and March 4 will now be in-person instructional days for all students.

KIDSTOP will be available to currently registered families all day Dec. 20-22 at Kennedy, Clearview, Madison, Oak Hill or Talahi schools. Families must register for these extended days by contacting KIDSTOP.
