Three city officials took the oath of office at the Nov. 9 Sartell City-Council meeting, the oath delivered by Anna Gruber, city administrator.
Two of the officials, both of them incumbents, (Mayor Ryan Fitzthum and Tim Elness, council member) were re-elected in the Nov. 8 general election. The third one, Jed Meyer, was elected to his first term on the council, also in the Nov. 8 election.
All three will serve four-year terms on the council.
Here is the oath: “I (name) do solemnly swear to support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Minnesota, and to discharge faithfully the duties of the office of Mayor (or council member) of the City of Sartell, Minnesota, to the best of my judgment and ability, so help me God.”
